R&S Webinar to Explore Challenges in Automotive EMC Testing Under Dynamic Driving Conditions712370

Rohde & Schwarz is hosting a webinar on Automotive EMC testing under dynamic driving conditions. The webinar will shed light on the challenges faced by the automotive industry in dealing with the increasingly complex electromagnetic environment of modern vehicles, with a focus on electric vehicles (EVs).

As wireless and wireline communications systems become more prevalent and tightly integrated into vehicles, designers and validation engineers face the task of ensuring electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in the face of increased emissions and susceptibility to interference. EVs, in particular, present unique challenges due to higher field strengths from high voltages, faster semiconductor switching speeds, and enhanced wireless connectivity.

One key aspect that adds complexity to EMC testing is the dynamic nature of vehicle emissions. The electromagnetic emissions of vehicles, especially EVs, can vary significantly depending on their operational state. To truly assess the EMC performance of an electric vehicle, it is crucial to conduct tests under realistic dynamic driving conditions.

The webinar will feature expert speakers from Rohde & Schwarz and AVL List, providing valuable insights into the eDrive development process, the importance of dynamic EMC testing, and the technical challenges encountered in automotive EMC testing. Participants will gain an understanding of the EMC standards framework and future outlook, along with practical strategies to overcome these challenges.

The webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, July 18, 2023, will last for one hour and will be held at 4:00 PM SGT (Asia/Singapore) / 10:00 AM CEST (Central Europe). Participants will have the opportunity to engage with the speakers through a Q&A session.
