Bureau Veritas Acquires EMC High Voltage Test Equipment712370

Bureau Veritas, a leading company specialized in testing, inspection and certification, has announced the acquisition of EMC High Voltage Test equipment for its Auburn Hills, Detroit laboratory.

New High Voltage Equipment

The PowerWave 250 is a versatile high voltage power supply capable of delivering 1500 VDC at 1000 amps or 360 VAC at 236 amps. It comes with an extensive test library for various applications. The Ripple NX is designed for ripple immunity testing, offering 1000 VDC at 1000 amps. It is suitable for testing items such as electric drives, high voltage batteries, DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, and other high voltage components. The compact NX5 is ideal for EFT/Burst, Surge, and Power Fail testing, conforming to IEC 61000 4-4, -5, -8, and -9 standards.

Tests that can be Performed

The equipment can perform testing in accordance with ISO 7637-4 and ISO 21498 standards for High Voltage Transient Testing. By utilizing the PowerWave as a power supply, the company is capable of testing high voltage components, such as electric motors and battery packs, in accordance with the standard 12-volt specifications. This is particularly beneficial for devices or OEMs that have not yet transitioned to a dedicated high voltage specification.
