The R&S®ESCU from Rohde & Schwarz is a Low Noise Pre-amplifier that operates from 100 MHz to 18 GHz. It boosts system sensitivity to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radiated spurious emission (RSE) and can also withstand unintended pulses and electrostatic discharges (ESD). This pre-amplifier has a gain of more than 41 dB with a gain flatness of up to +/- 3 dB and a low noise figure of up to 4 dB. It has a bias unit in the control room for supplying power to the system, significantly reducing potential power supply noise at sites. It also has a high-performance preamplifier that improves overall system sensitivity and is ideal for testing low-power signals.
