The R&S®BBA300-FG50 from Rohde & Schwarz is a Solid-State Amplifier that operates from 6 to 18 GHz. It delivers a nominal output power of 50 W and a nominal power gain of 47 dB (@1 GHz) with gain flatness of up to +/- 3 dB. This amplifier is designed with spurious emissions of better than -80 dBc and harmonics of -20 dBc. It has a noise figure of 13 dB and a noise power density of -110 dBm. The amplifier supports amplitude, frequency, phase, pulse and complex OFDM modulation modes. It features extremely wide, continuous frequency bands extending up into the high microwave range, along with high linearity, outstanding noise power density and excellent harmonic characteristics.
The R&S BBA300-FG50 has a low adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR) and excellent transfer characteristics without any additional EVM. It has a modern software platform that provides a positive user experience with a web GUI or a 10" touchscreen. This amplifier is ideal for critical test environments such as EMC, product validation and OTA coexistence testing as well as for RF component testing. It supports covers the entire range of GSM, LTE, 5G, and GPRS mobile communications frequencies as well as the frequencies of the WLAN, Bluetooth®, and Zigbee wireless standards. This amplifier is available in a rack-mountable enclosure that measures 430 x 196 x 643 mm with N-type (female) connectors. It requires an AC power of 900 V and weighs 23 kg.
