Overview

IEC 60974-10 outlines standards and test methods for assessing radio-frequency (RF) emissions, harmonic current emissions, voltage fluctuations, and flicker, as well as immunity to continuous and transient disturbances, including electrostatic discharges. It applies to arc welding equipment and associated components, such as power sources, wire feeders, liquid cooling systems, and arc striking and stabilizing devices. This third edition updates and replaces the second edition from 2007, incorporating significant changes including the option for a decoupling network and external load during testing, new test setups for portable equipment, and revised conditions for complex controls and cooling systems. It also updates limits related to CISPR 11 excludes narrow band relaxations for RF emissions, harmonics, and flicker limits, and includes new references and symbols for RF equipment class and usage restrictions.
