Professional Testing Provides MIL-STD-461 Requirement Fulfilled Military Products Testing712370

At Professional Testing's Round Rock facilities, testing the military product to the stringent Mil-Std-461 requirements is the business. Their facilities incorporate 3 shielded enclosures and additional ground planes necessary to meet the testing needs. These chambers allow PTI to test multiple products simultaneously. Each main chamber incorporates a shielded adjacent room for support and ancillary equipment.

The measurement frequency capabilities are from 10 Hz to 40 GHz. The radiated power requirements range from 10 kHz to 18 GHz up to 200 V/m.

MIL-STD-461 is a United States Military Standard that describes how to test equipment for electromagnetic compatibility. The United States Department of Defense issued MIL-STD-461 in 1967 to integrate electromagnetic compatibility into the research and development stage for defense communications technology.

PTI is accredited to the following Mil-Std-461 sections:

  • Conducted Emissions: CE101, CE102 and CE 106
  • Radiated Emissions: RE101, RE102 and RE103
  • Conducted Susceptibility: CS101, CS114, CS115 and CS116
  • Lightning Induced Transients: CS117
  • Electrostatic Discharge: CS118
  • Radiated Susceptibility: RS101 and RS103
