National Technical Systems, the leading independent provider of qualification testing, inspection, and certification solutions in North America, has announced that the company celebrated its 60th anniversary on November 27, 2021.
Established in 1961 by engineers Dr. Jack Lin and Aaron Cohen, NTS started as a small company offering high-tech testing services to customers in Southern California. With deep technical expertise—and a commitment to customer service—NTS quickly developed a stellar reputation. As the company expanded, NTS became a trusted partner for the world’s most complex projects. In fact, NTS’s 60-year history includes work for the Apollo 11 mission, NASA’s Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer, the Mars Rover, and the $22 billion International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) megaproject.
“We’re grateful to have been trusted to perform critical work on many of history’s most important projects and programs,” said Ray Milchovich, CEO at NTS. “As we continue to offer best-in-class testing services, we remain dedicated to upholding the highest standard of excellence as we celebrate our 60-year anniversary.” As one of the most distinguished tests, inspection, and certification companies in the world, NTS continues to stay at the forefront of testing innovation, pouring millions of dollars into state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
As a global leader, the engineers at NTS serve a variety of industries, including aerospace, defense, energy, telecommunications, automotive, wireless, and commercial sectors. With 28 laboratories in North America—and 59 locations across the globe—NTS provides expert test services for more than 8,000 companies. “We’re honored to carry forward the legacy of our predecessors while laying the foundation for the next era of testing innovation,” said Milchovich.
