IEEE EMCS Offers SIPI Short Course at EMC+SIPI 2023712370

The IEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Society (EMCS) has officially declared a unique educational prospect for attendees at the upcoming EMC+SIPI 2023 conference. On August 1, EMCS will be offering the SIPI Short Course, which aims to enhance participants' knowledge about Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI).

The SIPI Short Course is intended for beginners and intermediate-level learners and will cover SI and PI basic concepts, illustrating them with practical examples. The course will be presented by John Golding, an experienced hardware engineer who specializes in signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC analysis tools. Golding has worked for several leading telecommunications and engineering companies and now serves as an application engineer with Siemens EDA.

The SIPI Short Course will cover a range of important topics related to signal and power integrity. For SI, the course will cover basic concepts, transmission lines, crosstalk, differential pairs, vias and impairments, termination, timing, and application examples such as DDR Memory Interface and High-Speed Serial Interface. For PI, the course will cover basic concepts, DC and voltage, decoupling, transient performance, and application examples such as DC (IR) Voltage Drop and Decoupling and Noise.

EMC+SIPI 2023 will take place from July 31 to August 4 at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco, California. The conference will bring together leading experts, researchers, and engineers from around the world to share their latest research and advances in the field of electromagnetic compatibility and signal and power integrity.
