Applus+ Laboratories celebrates 25 years since issuing its first certificate, recognizing growth and excellence in product certification. Applus+ Laboratories' product certification area currently has more than 5,000 active product certificates. 25 years ago they issued their first A+ quality mark certificate, based on a factory audit and product testing. Since then, the A+ quality mark offers additional guarantees that go beyond the mandatory market entry requirements.
The certificate was issued by Eulàlia Cirici, the current technical director who, at that time, was the only professional in the certification area.
This achievement positioned Applus+ Laboratories as a high-valued industry forerunner since CE Marking had not yet come into force as a requisite for product market access. In 25 years, their product certification services and brand reputation have grown steadily. The team has more than 250 professionals with a strong international reach and presence.
