The TEMZ 5234 from Schwarzbeck Mess is a TEM Cell that operates from DC to 1.2 GHz. It is designed for probe calibration and immunity testing and complies with standards such as ISO 11452-3, IEEE 1309 and EN 61000-4-20. The lower section of this cell is designated for calibrating E-field probes, while the upper half is used for calibrating loop antennas (H-field probes). It comes with a quick-mount probe fixture to accept the field probe under test. The calibration of loop antennas (H-field probes) is performed in the upper half of the cell with the lower half closed by the cover. The field-strength distribution at TEM-mode operation inside the stripline is very homogenous and the ratio between E-field and H-field inside the cell is described by the characteristic impedance of free space (377-ohm, 51.5 dB).
The TEMZ 5234 can handle an input power of up to 200 W and supports a maximum field strength of 1000 V/m. It is available in a housing that measures 232 x 450 x 230 mm with N-type (female) connectors and weighs 2 kg.
