The R&S SMA100B from Rohde & Schwarz is an EMI Signal Generator that operates from 8 kHz to 20 GHz. It can generate microwave signals with extremely low close-in SSB phase noise, enabling radar systems to detect even very slow objects. For testing analog-to-digital converters (ADC), the R&S®SMA100B produces signals with extremely low wideband noise. In automated production environments, the R&S®SMA100B generator's ultra-high output power eliminates the need for additional amplifiers while keeping harmonics extremely low.

The R&S®SMA100B has SSB phase noise of -120 dBc at 10 GHz at an offset of 20 kHz in the base unit. It comes with the R&S®LegacyPro software (built-in) using which popular signal generators such as R&S®SMA100A, R&S®SMF100A, Keysight PSG, and Keysight MXG can be emulated.
