The EFTG-CE5 from HILO-Test is a Burst Generator that is designed for testing electromagnetic immunity against electrical fast transients (EFTs). It provides burst pulses, which are adjustable in frequency, amplitude, duration and repetition rate. This generator can provide an output voltage of up to 5 kV and adheres to IEC 61000-4-4, providing rapid transient pulses with a 5/50 ns waveform and a maximum burst frequency of 1 MHz. It includes extra coupling/decoupling networks designed to cover three-phase power supply lines, DC supply lines, and signal lines. A capacitive coupling clamp is provided for efficient coupling to shielded interconnection lines. It has a modular structure and can be equipped with an internal 1-phase coupling network, a burst generator, a surge generator and a power fail generator.
The EFTG-CE5 has a microprocessor-controlled interface and a 7” touchscreen unit that allows users to execute standard test routines or create custom test sequences. It can print a summary of test parameters and results directly onto a USB stick. This burst generator uses CE-REMOTE software that provides remote control of the test generator via Ethernet light guide, allowing for efficient documentation and assessment of test results according to IEC 17025 standards. It facilitates the recording of specific impulses with an embedded Impulse Recording Function (IRF). The generator's functions, including the integrated Coupling-/Decoupling Network, can be conveniently managed through the isolated optical interface using computer control.
The EFTG-CE5 is available in an enclosure that measures 450 x 180 x 500 mm and requires an AC supply from 90 to 264 V.
