CISPR 22 is an EMC standard by the International Electrotechnical Commission for limits and procedures for radio disturbance of Information Technology Equipment (ITE) for the frequency range from 9 kHz to 400 GHz. The standard sets limits on the emission of radio disturbance emitted by the ITE. This standard is replaced by CISPR 32:2015. It focuses to establish requirements that protect the radio spectrum from the interference of (Multimedia Equipment) MME, allowing radio services to operate as intended in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 400 GHz.
CISPR 22 categorizes ITE into two classes. They are as follows:
1. Class B ITE: This class is primarily intended for equipment used int eh domestic equipment.
2. Class A ITE: Class A ITE comprises all other equipment that does not come under Class B.
