Introduction to EMC
EMC, or Electromagnetic Compatibility, is a requirement for electrical devices and installations. Without compatibility, emissions from one device can interfere with the performance of another. Stringent guidelines and regulations exist in each country to ensure that devices, components, or installations on the market adhere to acceptable parameters for both emissions (which could affect other devices) and immunity (to protect themselves against emissions from other devices).
