IEC 62026-2 specifies a communication method between a single control device and switching elements within the Actuator Sensor Interface (AS-i) system. It defines the framework for ensuring interoperability among components with specified communication interfaces. This second edition updates the first edition from 2000, featuring a key enhancement: it doubles the number of slaves from 31 to 62 through the introduction of sub-addresses and incorporates an AS-i safety system.
