This standard addresses the technical requirements to minimize risks associated with the hazards identified in clause 4, which may occur during the operation and maintenance of mechanical handling equipment specified in clauses 3.1 to 3.3. This equipment is designed for the continuous conveyance of bulk materials from loading to unloading points. Additionally, it applies to equipment integrated into or attached to machines. The standard also covers technical requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
