IEC 60947-4-3:2014 applies to AC semiconductor non-motor load controllers and contactors used to switch AC electrical circuits between the ON and OFF states. This standard addresses typical applications as classified by utilization categories in Table 2. It replaces the first edition from 1999, along with Amendment 1:2006 and Amendment 2:2011, and includes several key updates: marking requirements have been revised, EMC requirements have been updated, and test requirements have been updated across various sections.
