Overview

This standard applies to electrical equipment using signals in the frequency range of 95 kHz to 148.5 kHz for transmitting or receiving information on low-voltage electrical systems in industrial environments. It covers only the parts of the equipment involved in communication, with other functions required to comply with relevant immunity standards. The standard aims to limit interference between main communication equipment operating in different frequency bands and ensure electromagnetic compatibility. It specifies immunity requirements and testing methods for continuous and transient disturbances, both conducted and radiated, including electrostatic discharges. Limits are set for products in industrial environments, but additional measures may be needed in extreme cases. It does not cover immunity between systems operating in the same band or from high or medium-voltage networks.
