Overview

This European Standard applies to industrial trucks of all power sources and their electrical/electronic systems in residential, commercial, light industry, and industrial environments. It specifies requirements for electromagnetic emissions and immunity to external electromagnetic fields, along with testing procedures.

Exclusions include:

  • Non-stacking low-lift straddle carriers
  • Stacking high-lift straddle carriers
  • Pedestrian-propelled trucks (except those with electrically powered lifting)
  • Trucks used in public domains exceeding 30 km/h
  • Driverless industrial truck positioning systems
  • Interactions between truck systems
  • Interference with on-board radio equipment
  • Equipment connected to AC mains is used only when the truck is not operational (e.g., on-board chargers).
