ETS-Lindgren, an international manufacturer of components and systems that measure, shield, and control electromagnetic and acoustic energy, has announced its technical contributions to the European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP) 2024 and SATELLITE 2024. EuCAP 2024, Europe’s largest and most significant antennas and propagation conference, will be held at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) in Glasgow, Scotland, from March 17 to March 22, while SATELLITE 2024 will be held at Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, from March 18 to March 21.
At EuCAP 2024, where ETS-Lindgren is also a proud Gold Sponsor, Zhong Chen, Director of RF Engineering at ETS-Lindgren, will present a series of insightful papers beginning with "Delving into Time Domain Gating: An Extensive Study on Parameter Selection and Its Implications" on Wednesday, March 20, at 10:30 as part of Convened Session (CS) 32 in Room M1. Next, in the same room, he will give the talk “Application of Compressed Sensing to Antenna Far-Field Calibration in an Extrapolation Range” on Thursday, March 21, at 16:10, as part of CS31; finally, in Room Dochart 1, as part of Scientific Workshop (SW) 6 on Friday, March 22, at 8:30, Mr. Chen will present “Evaluation/Comparison of Post Processing Techniques for Antenna Gain Extrapolation Measurements.”
Mr. Chen has also been recognized as a candidate for Best Measurement Paper for “Application of Compressed Sensing to Antenna Far-Field Calibration in an Extrapolation Range,” co-authored by Yibo Wang, RF Engineer at ETS-Lindgren.
"I look forward to contributing at EuCAP via my series of papers exploring critical aspects of our field, in addition to addressing attendees’ questions that usually lead to intriguing discussions,” says Mr. Chen. “I’m also honored to have been nominated for Best Paper along with Mr. Wang and other esteemed peers.”
Garth D’Abreu, Director, Automotive Solutions with ETS-Lindgren, will be contributing to the discourse at EuCAP 2024 with his presentation "Continued Evaluation of the Modern 5G Millimeter Wave Antenna Array Evaluation in Near- and Far-Field Environments" scheduled for Thursday, March 21, at 10:30 in Room M4 as part of Industrial Workshop (IW) 8 Session.
Simultaneously, at SATELLITE 2024, ETS-Lindgren will showcase its cutting-edge Satellite Communications Solutions, including Antenna Measurement Systems, EMC Test and Measurement Products, and RF Shielding. Products on display include Absorbers, Antennas, a representation of an Antenna Measurement System, and a Passive Intermodulation (PIM) Chamber “cutaway.” The cutaway model provides an indication of the complexity of test environments in terms of maintaining the RF shielding performance with penetration examples used to bring air, water, power, and other necessities into and out of the chamber. These penetrations, if not designed and installed correctly, will adversely impact the shielding integrity.
