AMETEK CTS is meeting the growing demand for its solid-state broadband amplifier products with the announcement of a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility based in the UK. This new larger facility will more than double the size of the current site and will not only enable AMETEK CTS to increase the manufacturing capacity of standard products but will also enable the implementation of flexible design and manufacturing solutions to meet the individual customer needs for a wide range of amplifier applications.

AMETEK CTS' Amplifier Product Manager Nick Jones commented on the new investment. "High customer demand for our amplifier range, and new product launches, have pushed the current facility to its maximum capacity and beyond. This, along with global supply chain issues, has affected our product lead times, which can impact our customers' test schedules. This has also affected our ability to efficiently service products in the UK factory and deliver spare parts to our global service centers."  

Reduced lead times and enhanced product support  

AMETEK CTS is a part of the AMETEK corporation. It, therefore, has been able to leverage the group's global procurement power, which is beginning to ease supply chain issues and, in the future, will allow the new larger facility to quickly increase production capacity for standard products. This will result in reduced delivery lead times for new products, and the improved access to components required for service means customers can expect a faster response to support requirements.  

Robust quality and application-specific solutions  

The increased physical size of the new facility will allow AMETEK to implement a one-piece flow and lean manufacturing process which will provide customers with best-in-class quality control and product reliability. In addition to the investment in the production facilities, AMETEK CTS is expanding its engineering capabilities to enable it to provide tailored amplifier solutions for application-specific requirements.
