The TDEMI ULTRA 18 from GAUSS INSTRUMENTS is an EMI Receiver with a frequency range from 9 kHz to 18 GHz. It provides a fully integrated spectrum analyzer with a real-time analysis bandwidth of 685 MHz. This receiver utilizes GAUSS INSTRUMENTS' patented technology with advanced DSP concept in combination and includes ultrafast receiver scanning. It is ideal for use in labs according to civil standards (e.g. CISPR, EN, FCC Part 15, ANSI C63.2, ANSI C63.4), military standards (e.g. MIL-461G, but also its previous versions and revisions) as well as avionic standards (e.g. DO-160). This analyzer fulfills the CISPR 16-1-1 Ed 3.1 as well as all later editions and has been designed for pre-certifications as well as final certifications.
The TDEMI ULTRA 18 combines an ultra-high performance stepped scan mode with ultra-high-performance technology and offers a large variety of configuration possibilities. This receiver has a probability of interception of 300 ps and can detect, measure, and investigate very short, intermittent signals or single events. It is a powerful measurement equipment for emission testing on the market and is also suitable for measurement and testing according to telecommunication standards such as ETSI.
For EMI measurements, the TDEMI® ULTRA 18 includes an extremely fast scanning speed. Pre- and full compliance measurements can be carried out at a factor of 64,000 times faster than with other solutions. For measurements using the quasi-peak detector the duration of a scan in the range from 30 MHz to 1 GHz is reduced from hours down to a few seconds for full compliance testing and product certification.
The TDEMI ULTRA 18 EMI receiver includes a user-friendly graphical user interface and a 10.4-inch touch screen and can be remotely controlled and fully automated via Ethernet (TCP/IP). It can operate on AC/DC supplies or by a battery pack and consumes 90 to 130 W of power. This flexibility enables it to perform on-board testing in vehicles, boats, or aircraft.
