The BBV 9748 from Schwarzbeck Mess - Elektronik is an EMC Pre-amplifier operating from 10 MHz to 8 GHz.  It has a gain of 29 dB and an amplitude flatness up to +/- 3 dB. It has a low noise figure of less than 2.7 dB which makes the system noise nearly independent of the other components including cable and receiver. This general-purpose broadband preamplifier has a current consumption of about 120 mA and a 1 dB compression point of -17 dBm.  This preamplifier consists of an internal protection circuit that slows down the rising and falling edge of the power supply voltage to prevent internal components and a 12 V auxiliary supply from receivers and analyzers. The BBV 9748 is equipped with PS 230/12M8 and an M8-Stecker, 3-polig DC-connector. It is available in an aluminum enclosure that measures 85 x 36 x 29 mm with N-type flange connectors and requires an AC supply.
