The TWT4G8G-250 from AMETEK CTS is a Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) Amplifier that operates from 4 to 8 GHz. It delivers a minimum saturated output power of 250 W with a small signal gain of 54 dB. This TWT amplifier supports various modulation formats such as AM, FM, and pulse modulations. It includes a complete set of RF and hardware protection systems such as VSWR, over-current, voltage, TWT arc protection, redundant thermal, and airflow sensors to prevent over-heating or over-voltage-related damages. 

The TWT4G8G-250 has Ethernet and GPIB interfaces for remote monitoring and control. It also includes a display screen and web page that provide instant operational and critical parameter status indications. This CW amplifier includes built-in self-test, advanced fault diagnostics, and modular plug-and-play field-replaceable power supplies. It is available in a rugged 6U rack-mount enclosure with N-type (female) input connectors. This amplifier is ideal for multiple high-frequency high power applications including EMC / Radiated Immunity, Communications, EW, Radar, RF Component Testing, and scientific applications. 

The amplifier requires a 1-phase AC supply with neutral from 200 to 264 V and consumes 2.3 kVA of power.
