The 7224 from AE Techron is an EMC Power Amplifier with a frequency response of DC — 300 kHz. It has a slew rate of 90 V/µSec and a signal-to-noise ratio of -113 dB to -99.9 dB. The amplifier is designed for stand-alone or rack-mounted operation. The Chassis is steel with a black powder coat finish and occupies two EIA 19-inch-wide units. It uses BNC, DB9 and DB25 connectors for signal input, interconnect and interlock respectively. It features a DC to 1 MHz small-signal bandwidth and improved long-term power performance at frequencies above 40 kHz. This power amplifier provides very low noise and very fast slew rates, and can safely drive a wide range of resistive, inductive loads. It has in-built input overloads, improper output connection including shorted and improper loads), overtemperature, over-current, and too high/low supply voltage protection circuitries. It has a system output of over 3,600 watts or over 200 amperes maximum is possible with multiple, interconnected amplifiers.
The 7224 is ideal for high voltage/low-current, medium voltage and current, or low-voltage/high-current applications. It requires a single phase 120 V AC mains supply to operate and comes in an enclosure measuring 19 x 22.75 x 3.5 in. This amplifier occupies only 2U height and weighs 20.9 kg.
