The MDS 21 C from Schwarzbeck Mess - Elektronik is an Absorbing Clamp for frequency range from 30 to 1000 MHz. It is designed for disturbance power measurements adhering to the CISPR-16-2-2 and CISPR-16-1-3 standards. This absorbing clamp is equipped with four crucial functional components – RF-current transformer, absorber chain, sheath wave suppressors and plastic housing. The RF-current transformer picks up the measurand, absorber chain consisting of split, precision-grinded ferrite rings offer a defined RF-termination to the EuT's line under test and decouple mains influence. The sheath wave suppressors improve reproducibility (located in the lower housing), and the plastic housing provides easy opening with roller-bearing wheels for effortless movement.

The MDS 21 C can handle an input power of up to 20 W and has an insertion loss of 17 dB. It is available in an enclosure that measures 645 x 66 (110) x 102 mm with N-type (female) connector.
