What is an EMC shielded camera?
EMC shielded camera is a camera used for monitoring EUT and equipment inside the test chamber during EMC testing. The camera is electromagnetically shielded (typically by means of EMI hardened protective case) so that it can be used inside a shielded room or anechoic chamber under a high electric field (V/m). Usually, the optical fiber cable is used to transfer images to monitor outside the shielded or the anechoic chamber. The use of fiber optics prevents interference caused by high electromagnetic fields present during EMC testing. The captured images can be recorded in a storage system, such as a hard drive. The EMC-shielded cameras can be operated either locally (by manual mode) or remotely (allows remote monitoring). These cameras are available with high resolution and various dimension & EMI shielding (V/m) options.
