ATS Marietta Emerges as Premier Destination for Military and Aerospace Testing712370

ATS has made significant strides to expand its services, positioning itself as the go-to destination for comprehensive testing and inspection needs. With a strong focus on serving the Military and Aerospace market, ATS Marietta has obtained the A2LA accreditation, enabling them to conduct Electromagnetic Compatibility/Interference (EMC/EMI) testing as per the rigorous requirements of prominent standards such as MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, and MIL-STD-704.

This recent expansion complements the existing Environmental Simulation capabilities at the Marietta facility, which include a wide array of testing services such as Vibration, Shock, Temperature/Humidity, Weathering, Salt Spray, and more. With this comprehensive suite of testing options, ATS Marietta solidifies its position as a one-stop shop for all testing and inspection requirements.

RTCA/DO-160, a standard essential for the Aerospace industry, specifies the environmental conditions and test procedures for airborne equipment. ATS Marietta's updated testing capabilities now cover various parameters outlined in RTCA/DO-160, including Magnetic Effect (S15), Power Input (S16), Voltage Spike (S17), Audio Frequency Conducted Susceptibility (S18), Induced Signal Susceptibility (S19), Radio Frequency Susceptibility Conducted (S20), Emission of Radio Frequency Energy (S21), Lightning Induced Transient Susceptibility (S22), and Electrostatic Discharge (S25). Furthermore, ATS Marietta plans to introduce testing for Radio Frequency Susceptibility Conducted (Radiated up to 200V/m) in Q1 2022.

In addition to RTCA/DO-160, ATS Marietta's updated services also align with MIL-STD-461, a comprehensive standard that encompasses various electromagnetic compatibility and interference requirements. These include tests for Magnetic Field Emissions (RE101), Electric Field Emissions (RE102 up to 18GHz), Conducted Emissions (CE101), Conducted Susceptibility Power Leads (CE102), Conducted Susceptibility Antenna Port (CS101), Conducted Susceptibility Bulk Cable Injection (CS114), Conducted Susceptibility Bulk Cable Injection (CS115), Conducted Susceptibility Cable Shielding (CS116), Conducted Susceptibility Electrostatic Discharge (CS117), Conducted Susceptibility Lightning Induced Transient (CS118), Radiated Susceptibility Electric Field (RS101), and Radiated Susceptibility Electric Field (RS103 up to 18GHz and 200V/m).

ATS Marietta's enhanced capabilities extend to MIL-STD-704, a critical standard for the Military industry. They offer testing for Load Dump Circuit (LDC) at 28VDC, Single-Phase Alternating Current (SAC) at 115VAC and 400Hz, and Single-Phase Alternating Current (TAC) at 115VAC and 400Hz.
